General Overview

Laser Vaginal Tightening (LVT) by MiXto Laser is a minimally invasive procedure designed to improve vaginal tightness, restore elasticity, and enhance overall comfort and confidence. Please note: This is an off-label procedure and does not have an absolute FDA indication. Following these instructions will ensure optimal healing and results.

Post-Treatment Guidelines

Immediate Care

1. Redness and Swelling:

• Mild redness, swelling, or warmth in the treated area is normal and typically resolves within 24–48 hours.

• A mild sunburn-like sensation may occur for 1–3 days.

2. Moisturizing:

• Apply a soothing ointment, such as Aquaphor or Vaseline, to the treated area as instructed by your provider to maintain hydration and support healing.

Hygiene

1. Avoid Irritation:

• Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser on the treated area. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh products for at least 7 days.

2. Bathing:

• Avoid hot baths, pools, saunas, or hot tubs for 1 week post-procedure.

• Pat the area dry with a clean towel or allow it to air dry; avoid using shared towels.

Activity Restrictions

1. Sexual Activity:

• Refrain from sexual intercourse or inserting anything into the vaginal area (e.g., tampons, menstrual cups) for 5–7 days or until advised by your provider.

2. Exercise:

• Avoid strenuous physical activity, including heavy lifting and vigorous exercise, for at least 48 hours.

3. Heat Exposure:

• Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 48 hours.

Clothing

1. Wear Loose Clothing:

• Avoid tight-fitting underwear or clothing that may irritate the treated area for at least 1 week.

2. Use Cotton Fabrics:

• Wear breathable, cotton underwear to minimize irritation and promote healing.

Signs to Watch For

• Contact us immediately if you experience:

• Persistent redness, swelling, or pain beyond 72 hours.

• Signs of infection, such as unusual discharge, foul odor, or fever.

• Any urinary issues, such as discomfort, urgency, or difficulty urinating.

• Severe discomfort that does not improve with over-the-counter pain relief.

Follow-Up Care

1. Healing Timeline:

• Most patients feel fully healed within 7–10 days. However, full results may take a few weeks to develop as collagen production increases.
